1. I felt this service learning experience was very beneficial. My teacher was awesome to cooperate with and seemed grateful for the additional materials I provided.
2. My teacher gained all of the materials that I created. I think he also realized that there are a lot of really neat technological tools available for teachers. A lot of what we were doing in class he didn't think about or wasn't aware that is was free (podcasting). Hopefully he has gained some new ideas of how to better implement technological tools in the classroom.
3. I feel I gained experience with all the technological tools we have used. It is always nice to give back and provide service in some form. I also like that we are giving back to other teachers. Its nice to help out your peers. It was also really fun for me to see my cooperating teacher excited about the things I created. It made me excited for him to use them in his class as well as when I implement them into my class.
4. I feel this assignment was worth it. I felt that having the service learning aspect to the assignments took the assignments meaning to a different level. I wasn't just doing my homework, I was creating things that were going to actually be used. I think it provides an added measure of motivation because you want the students to learn from the things you create. It made me want to create things that were fun but still provided the information. I really enjoyed the service learning element to this class.
